Shaku Rod 7’ #3

Podsol Shaku Rod was born under the influence of our Japanese friends the Shaku Hunters. The rod is designed for fishing in small streams and embrace the aesthetics of tree-covered tailwaters. The rod is built by Finnish rod builder Jussi Sojakka. We produced only 10pc limited run of these rods. The blank is made from directionally weaved glass fibre to secure the firm recovery. The components are selected to accompany the classic look and it has an agatine stripper made by Ernest Oczoz. The rod has lite wire snake guides and silver aanodised reel seat with maple burl insert.

The action in fast for glass and it has plenty of power reserve to tackle tail water trophies. Though the rod recovers firmly it has a soft casting rhythm that is familiar for glass rods. The rod has a broad grain window and it handles lines from class 3-5 depending on the fishing situation and size of the water.
